Using Blogs and Wikis to Communicate with Clients

Hello, for those living in QLD who are interested in blogs and wikis for client communication in libraries, Chelsea Harper and myself will be presenting a session on ‘Using Blogs and Wikis to Communicate with Clients’ at the next QULOC Session ‘Communicating with Clients Using New Technologies’ on the 28th August. http://www.quloc.org.au/

For the interest of those who will not be attending the session we will post the PPT from the session to our research wiki after the session at http://www.seedwiki.com/wiki/libraryblogswikis

On another note, we have recently had a paper for Information Online conference 2007 accepted titled ‘Blogs, Wikis and Reference Services: Surveying the Australian Library Landscape’. It is in this paper we will be presenting the results of the sampled survey conducted earlier this year of Australian Library uses of blogs and wikis.

Cheers, Kate.
